If you send potential buyers to your broker's site, or to the MLS, and they request more information, the lead will most likely end up going to the listing agent. By having your own OLS solution in place, all leads generated by your online advertising go directly to you.

Internet Data Exchange (IDX) is the term coined by the National Association of Realtors for the Broker Reciprocity program mandated in January of 2002. This program allows both agents and brokers to show each others' listings on the Internet. The intention was to allow brokers and agents the same advantages of sites such as Realtor.com, the ability to attract and keep website visitors by displaying all MLS listings. 98% of U.S. brokers now offer an IDX solution to their agents.
